Keith Ball

Keith Ball

Keith was born in 1961 in Ilford, Essex. The son of legendary jazz musician Kenny Ball, he grew up with a wealth of influences in both swing and jazz. From a young age, music has been a main part of his life.

He has been influenced by some of the greatest musicians and singers of our time – Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra and Jack Jones to name a few. Taking the lead from his father's influences, Keith first took up the drums, then trumpet, followed by the piano. From there, Keith has learned his trade playing in a variety of bands, both big and small, across a broad spectrum of music.

From his humble days as a session musician, Keith has now mastered his craft and further added to his repertoire by singing a variety of hits from the rat pack days.

If you haven't yet managed to see one of Keith's shows, it is highly recommended. He captures both the character and range of some of the best of the masters of swing, but still manages to remain unique. You'll leave feeling like you've been touched by one of the greats.
